I made an interesting discovery this week researching a segment for ESPN Classic.
An intern and I were going through archive footage of the Buffalo Bills from their 1972 season. Who do you think was in the backfield flickering through and finding room for a 36 yard touchdown run against The Colts?
My intern and I looked at each other in astonishment. “Isn’t that O.J.?” she asked.
Imagine our surprise later when we got heavy into the 1973 season only to discover O.J. rushed for over 2 thousand yards that year.

O.J. was known as “The Juice” for his healthy lifestyle and well balanced psychological make-up.
We knew him only as that alleged felon dominating the news cycle.
Or from Naked Gun 33 1/3.
But there is another O.J. Simpson out there sports fans. And apparently he held his own in the National Football League.
Wait.
You hear that?
Somewhere somebody just heard a cash register go cha-ching.
